Terms and Conditions

Publication packages: If we are unable to publish your work for any reason, we will explain why, and give you advice and feedback on what you need to do to bring it up to publishable standard. If we are still unable to publish your book after this, we will provide either a full refund or partial refund in respect of any publishing package you have purchased from us - see below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: if your book is submitted to us according to our Submission Guidelines, the publication fee is the initial payment you have made for the publishing package. If your book needs a lot of editorial work, re-formatting, multiple corrections to your spelling, punctuation and grammar, and we have advised you of this but you are unable or unwilling to do this yourself following our advice, we reserve the right to charge an additional fee to get your work into a publishable state. We will advise you if this is the case, and what the additional cost will be. If you do not wish to proceed and choose to withdraw your book from publication, you may be eligible to receive a full or partial refund for the publishing package. Any costs for work already undertaken by us may be deducted from the amount of the refund.

eBook Purchases
Quality of Goods/Fitness for Purpose: Our Kindle eBooks and paperbook books downloaded or ordered through Amazon websites are governed by the Terms & Conditions of Amazon - please refer to these if you have any problems. KIndle eBooks published by us and downloaded via Amazon websites are subject to DRM (Digital Rights Management.
eBooks downloaded from our own websites have no DRM. Please note that eBooks-UK cannot be held responsible for problems which are due to the limitations of the customer's software or hardware, or knowledge thereof. Any files supplied as MobiPocket, Kindle, ePub or Adobe Acrobat files are warranted only if, and to the extent of existence of, the applicable manufacturer's warranty and are distributed from our eBooks-UK and eBooks-America websites on an as-is basis without warranty by eBooks-UK. Kindle versions of our publications with DRM are available to download from Amazon websites.
eBooks-UK does not warrant that the operation of any programs or files will be uninterrupted or error free, or that all programming or compilation errors will be corrected.
Responsibility for Local Taxes and Duties: The customer is responsible for all local taxes and duties.
Bulk email Policy: From time to time eBooks-UK may e-mail you with special offers. These offers are usually only available to our existing customers and often offer very special deals. Most customers enjoy receiving these e-mails, but if you would prefer to opt out please let us know by sending an e-mail with the title "opt-out".
Security of Credit Card Payment Options: Customer satisfaction is a crucial part of our business ethos. To this end, site security is very important to us. When you do business with eBooks-UK on-line you can rest assured that it is safe. In conjunction with WorldPay all transactions are handled on a secure server. If you use a secure browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Netscape, your credit card details will be encrypted (you will see a lock or key at the bottom of the screen and instead of the usual http in the url address you will notice it says https, which means the transaction is being carried out on a secure server)
Applicable Law / Courts of Jurisdiction: All matters pertaining to this agreement shall be governed by the laws of England. All matters pretaining to Kindle eBooks or paperbacks downloaded from Amazon websites (including Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com, Amazon.de, and any future websites owned and operated by Amazon) shall be governed by the laws of the country to which the website provides goods and services.
Retention of Title: All goods, whether digital or printed, remain the property of eBooks-UK until paid for in full.
Refunds: Refunds will be given at the discretion of the Company Management of eSites-UK Ltd..
