About eBooks-UK

We are dedicated to promoting the growth of electronic publishing by offering a wide range of good quality fiction and non-fiction in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) format. We also offer some of our eBooks in two other formats: Microsoft Reader (.lit) and MobiPocket (.prc).

Depending on which format you choose, our eBooks can be read on a standard desktop, laptop or notebook PC or Apple Mac, or transferred to a handheld eBook reading device - PalmOS, WindowsCE / Pocket PC, Psion, Epoc R5 and R6, or Franklin eBookman.

If you prefer an on-screen reading experience which is like reading a paper book, with pages that 'turn', we recommend MobiPocket or Microsoft Reader. You can use both of these on a Pocket PC or Windows CE device.

A new version of Microsoft Reader is now available.

Microsoft Reader can be read on a desktop, laptop or notebook PC running Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT, or on a Pocket PC or Windows CE handheld computer.

The new version has many improvements over the original and the interface has been made easier to use than before.

If you prefer scroll bars, like an HTML page, try Adobe Acrobat.

Adobe Acrobat can be read on any PC or Apple Mac. There is also a free Acrobat Reader available for Pocket PC's.

eBooks-UK is in the forefront of electronic publishing. We were involved in testing the Beta version of Microsoft Reader before it was launched in August 2000, and we were the first eBook company in the UK to adopt the Mobipocket format.

Reader Appeal
Unlike most e-publishers, whose websites are aimed at authors, we think from the point of view of what the reader wants and operate attractive websites designed to appeal to particular readerships. Our popular genres include adventure, fantasy, historical fiction, horror, romantic fiction, science fiction, and thrillers (including mystery and detective fiction).

We also publish non-fiction books. We will consider for publication non-fiction in any category. At present, we are particularly interested in books on mind/body/spirit themes, and guide books (eg. walking guides, visitors' guides to particular regions, localities, towns and cities; restaurant and pub guides, etc.)
